Take a Break!

There is no doubt that life can be difficult at times, particularly when we are just out of hospital or are convalescing after an illness; or indeed when family members or carers are going on holiday Respite care provides that well earned break, where the carer can relax in the knowledge that their loved one is being cared for by a team of professional staff who know exactly what to do.

A temporary stay in respite care can be therapeutic too, not only does the older person get a pleasant change of scene and the opportunity to meet lots of new people; if desired, it can also be used as an opportunity to get to know a care home, to determine if it's the right place should longer term care be required.
